The country´s increasingly globalized economy and rapidly expanding tourism industries require that most Chinese have a good command of the English language. And in a heavily foreign business environment, students need English skills in order to become competitive and successful in their future careers.
TEFL teachers in China can enjoy great benefits such as free housing, excellent pay and reimbursed airfare with most placements. In addition, many employers offer free Mandarin lessons to help English teachers more comfortably navigate daily life. China’s low cost of living will also enable you to immerse yourself in the culture and unique beauty of this vast country—and perhaps even walk away with a decent savings!
